Bathroom on a budget ideas
We take a look at what options are available for when you want to refurbish your bathroom on a budget.
When it comes to purchasing a bathroom, there are so many choices and retailers to choose from. We decided to take a look at some options for decorating a bathroom on a budget. We've taken a look at some retailers to see what budget options they've got available. We found B&Q had some budget-friendly options with the Plumbsure Bodmin toilet priced at £47 and the Plumbsure Falmouth Full pedestal sink at £55, and Wickes offers a home brand standard acrylic straight bath 1700mm x 700mm for £82. Wickes also offered some competitively priced taps in their home brand Classic Chrome range with shower mixer taps priced at £65, basin taps at £21 and a shower screen at £50. However, it is important when buying taps for your bathroom to make sure that they're suitable for the water pressure in your property. A pop-up basin waste is available at Wickes for £11 and pop up bath waste and overflow for £24. Another consideration when decorating your bathroom is tiling for your walls and floor. Wickes have a great budget square plain white wall tile that looks great with dark grey grout. The Wickes white ceramic wall tile 150 mm x 150 mm costs £5.75 per SQM. These wall tiles would be well paired with the Wickes Urban Grey Ceramic wall and floor tiles 330 mm x 330 mm, which retail at £9 per SQM for the flooring of your bathroom. These tiles look like slate but are actually ceramic, which makes them more budget-friendly and practical. A Croydex Standard bathroom Mirror - 600 X 450mm costs £18, which will sit well above the bathroom sink. We also found trade point offer a bathroom Plumbsure bathroom suite, which includes a pedestal sink, toilet and a bath with a side panel for £189 plus they're offering 20% off bathroom items at the moment when you check out, bringing this down to £151. Towel rails always look great in a bathroom and can be purchased from as little as £52 at trade point. You can find simple lighting at Argos in the form of their Home Chrome Flush Bathroom Ceiling Light which retails at £18. An easy way to inject some colour into your bathroom is by choosing colourful blinds, boxes and baskets etc., to accessorise your space.
