Home grants for increasing energy efficiency allowing you to get paid to enhance your property
The expectations of landlords are ever increasing with regards to legislation surrounding energy efficiency of homes that are on the rental market. It's currently illegal to rent out homes with an EPC rating of F or G ( These are the lowest ratings on the scale) and it is likely that property on the rental market will be expected to have improved levels of efficiency in future. There is speculation surrounding a minimum energy rating of D or higher being the benchmark in future.
So here is some good news that might help you with the above dilemma, Rishi Sunak has announced a new £2bn grant scheme to make homes more energy efficient which started this September. It is available to all property owners including landlords.
